Rated 2 out of 5 by Saz_ from Dissappointed in quality These are my first pair of Docs and sad to say I don't understand the hype. They were painful to break into, so I Googled tips online. For the first two weeks I wore them around the house for about 20-30 min/day and I noticed some of the stitching was coming away already on the top cuff at the ankle. Since I had already spent time trying to break them in and there were no more in the size left (I really needed similar boots for going travelling), I decided to just get it fixed myself, which cost money (even though they were brand new). The first day I wore them outside, they quickly got scuffed (I had already used Dr Martens Wonder Balsam and Dubbin to protect them). Although I have broken them in, I still don't find them comfy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Docsquid from Beautiful, Comfortable Shoes I have always wanted a pair of Doc Martins. First my Mum wouldn't let me have them. Then my first husband. So I kind of gave up hope. Finally took the plunge at age 58. These are so beautiful. They are shiny and have this wonderful cherry red shading on the toe. They are quite dark in colour. They are extremely comfortable almost from the get-go, other than the ankle which simply needs softening by wearing. I feel like they were made for me. They are instantly my favourite shoes ever. And my husband likes them too!

I didn't think that they'd suit me as I'm 5ft 3, dress size 12 with size 4 feet but they work so well worh everything! So far, I've worn them with skirts, dresses and jeans. The colour is like no other. They arent black but not cherry red. The first couple of times I wore them, they were a bit uncomfortable but as I've worn them many times, they are starting to settle!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pandio from First pair of Docs, won't be my last I bought these as I wanted something that would stand the test of time and that I could wear day to day. I am so impressed with the quality and look, I couldn't believe they were leather when they first arrived as the finish was so flawless. Only difficulty I've had with the fit is the instep as it's a little tight but this is common for me as I have a high instep, I'm hoping I'll be able to loosen it as I wear them. The rest of the fit is spot on.

I found the subtle shine of the leather on the cherry Arcadia was a good happy medium for someone like myself who was torn between the classic black smooth and the black patent leather style 1460s! Warning: be prepared to break them in before committing to wearing them for long periods! But all in all very happy to have bought these shoes, and know the durability will account for the cost.

But Boots were a Christmas gift last year,for my daughter(she was over the moon) we own a few pairs between us all being Dr marten addicts,but after 7 months crack in sole 9 months hole in the side ?and leather has gone really soft in spots,Seriously thinking of not buying anymore l know she,s probably worn them a lot but surly thats what they are made for

Rated 5 out of 5 by Charxx22 from Gorgeous Doc Martens I've always wanted a pair of Doc original boots but never thought they would suit me. But these are gorgeous and sooo cool! The colour is a lovely deep cherry, not too shiny. They did not take me long to break in at all. You may need to wear a thicker sock, as the heel can rub against the sock. I've been wearing them everyday! I just love them.

Wasn't sure which style I wanted, seen these bad boys and loved them. I was not disappointed when they came. Beautiful colour, good fit, comfortable and they look the bees knees. Took my street feed up 10 knotches!
